The Prime Ministry gave an instruction to ministries to recover their properties and cars which were exploited by former officials. This is part of recovery operation of the government’s cars and official accommodation, Echorouk has learnt.

According to the same sources, Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal raised “austerity” level. He reminded ministers of the President’s instructions.

“Luxury and unjustified expenses era is over,” he told them.

He stressed the necessity of recovering cars and houses from officials who quitted their job.

He also ordered some ministries which organize unjustified travels not to waste money, saying the government’s policy will be more optimizing and will tighten the belt more.

He also said ministers will be directly in charge of optimizing expenses by virtue of the next finance draft act.

The State has put an upper limit to its annual expenses at 6,800 DZ. This year, its budget underwent a deficit of 3,236 billion DZ.

This measure will be applied in 2017, 2018 and 2019. The State’s public expenses will not exceed $62 billion.
