National security services, including the judicial police and the scientific and technical police teams, dealt with and shed light on 52 criminal cases linked to murder and manslaughter, resulting in the arrest of 125 main accused and their accomplices who were brought before the relevant judicial authorities during the first quarter of 2017.

According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), of which “Echorouk” received a copy, the main reasons for these crimes are related to quarrels and provocations by a rate of 46.15%, followed by alcohol and narcotics of 15.38% and the other motives are linked to money reckonings and theft by a rate of 9.61 percent.

The DGSN Directorate commended in this line the positive cooperation extended by many citizens in these cases, who had contributed to the reporting of 23 murders using the Green lines No. 17 and No. 1548, or by presenting themselves to national security services for reporting an offense in various districts of the country.
