Algerian international player Safir Taider is set to pursue his football career with Italy’s first-league Bologna team.

Coach Roberto Donadoni, the Bologna coach, listed the talented Algerian midfielder as the top tier player in the 2017-2018 football season.

However, the Bologna coach is urging Safir Taider to undergo doubling sessions of physical training, after noticing the player’s weight gain during the current summer vacation, Italian media outlets reported Tuesday.

Taider played with the Bologna squad in a friendly against Germany’s FC Cologne, which was held last Monday and ended in a 1-1 draw.

Safir Taider came into the pitch in the 63rd minute of the fixture while the score was level between the two sides.

Furthermore, Safir Taider and his teammates of Bologna are slated to play another friendly on Thursday against Qatar's Al Sadd, which includes in its line-up Algerian international striker Baghdadi Bounedjah and midfielder Boughrata Hamroune.
