Volume Of Turkish Investments In Algeria Reaches $3 Billion

Volume of Turkish investments in Algeria reached about three billion dollars, Trade Minister, Mohamed Ben Merradi, said.

"We want to create new investment opportunities with Turkey", he added.

Trade Ministry's statement, which copy is available to Echorouk, Ben Merradi praised, during a meeting that he held at the headquarters of his ministerial department with the Ambassador of the State of Turkey in Algeria, Mehmet Poroy, the good partnership between the two countries, especially in the economic field, as the volume of Turkish investments in Algeria reaches $3 billion. 

"Trade Ministry is ready to continue the consultative framework in order to create stronger investment opportunities on the one hand and to re-establish the link between Algerian and Turkish investors on the other. Algeria is ready to raise export quotas outside hydrocarbons and create new partnership mechanisms. Turkish investments in Algeria are very important in various fields".

For his part, Turkey's ambassador Mehmet Poroy said that the volume of economic exchanges between Turkey and Algeria reaches five billion dollars as an annual result over the past years, expressing his satisfaction with all economic companies, especially that the relations between the two countries have been rooted for centuries and are brotherly and historical relationships, adding that Algeria is the partner number one for Turkey in the African continent, noting all the facilities and a fertile climate for investment in Algeria thanks to the political will and security stability in Algeria.
