Sonatrach, Bonatti sign power plant contract
A power plant
Algeria’s energy group Sonatrach Monday said it signed a deal with Italy’s Bonatti Monday for the extension of a power plant in Adrar, south of Algeria.
- “The contract worth 9.77 billion DZ will be achieved within 27 months,” said a statement posted on Sonatrach’s website.
- Power generated from the extension of the power plant will meet energy needs of Sonatrach’s industrial centers and supply nearby people’s homes, the same statement said.
- In 1999, Sonatrach awarded the first privately-funded power plant contract to Nuovo Pignone for the construction of a 330 MW gas turbine plant at Hassi Berkine.
