A study conducted bythe European Union warned 2 million youngsters in Europe from becoming deaf after five years, if they use MP3 players for more than five hours a week.

  •    The study criticized listening to music loudly saying; “Children and youngsters must protect themselves from high sounds by mobile phones.  “There are fears the new generation of personal music devices may lose their sound quality which will affect the ears capacities.

Thank you for this information which is very useful for our kids and future generations. We must take the most of this study since the majority of the Algerian youngsters use the MP3 players to listen loudly to the music. I would be happy if you can bring more details about this study results. For instance, the study reported 5 hours a day as maximum, so, what about the minimum hours to be safe from becoming deaf?

Remarque: Since the article is very important, I would be glad if the author of this article could tell us which one is correct: …….more than five hours a week or a day (according to the French version).
