The Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa has said that the Inter-Palestinian reconciliation, under Egypt's mediation, has not failed contrary to certain 'hasty" conclusions drawn by some ill-advised quarters.

  • Amr Moussa was quoted Sunday by the Syrian press as saying that the Arab league was about to receive an exhaustive report from Egypt concerning the stalled Inter-Palestinian dialogue and how best it should be smoothly reactivated.
  • "All the hurdles should be cleared in a climate of wisdom and confidence", he pointed out.
  • Amr Moussa also indicated that the Arab League Ministerial meeting, slated for November 26th in Cairo, would focus its proceeding on ways of ending the lingering stalemate in the Inter-Palestinian reconciliation process through the adoption of a set of concrete measures to this effect.
  • The move, he said, is primarily aimed at restoring Palestinian unity and cohesion for the sake of the enhancement of the Palestinian cause.
