360,000 Algerians Receive Retirement Grants From France

French Fund for Old Age Insurance showed, in its annual report that was published on Sunday, that Algeria is the country with the largest percentage of retirees who receive grants from the CNAF.

The CNAF sent a list containing all the retired Algerians who have worked in France and receive grants and pensions to confirm the authenticity of the information that is provided by the beneficiaries, to the Algerian authorities last January.

It has more than 360,000 pensions currently that are paid directly to retirees or widows who are living in Algeria.

These retirees are Algerians who went to work in France in the 1960s, immediately after the independence of Algeria and they are not necessarily French citizens, as indicated by the figures which show that widows of migrant workers reached 179.000 Algerian women.

Algeria, according to the latest statistics of the French Retirement Pension Fund, ranked first by far from Morocco with 65,000 retirees and Tunisia with 37,000 retirees, while it counts more than 480,000 African pensioners who are receiving grants from the French retirement pension fund.

French Familial Pensions Fund, “CNAF”, sent to the Algerian authorities last January, a list of names of all retired Algerians who have worked in France and receive grants and pensions to confirm the authenticity of the information that is provided by beneficiaries.

The statements, through the provided certificates, especially with regard to the death or life of the persons who receive a pension or grant, specifically those over the age of 75.
