The security services of the province of Tipaza, about 60 km west of Algiers, have recently dismantled a criminal network within the framework of the fight against illegal traffic in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, by allowing for the retrieval of 5,613 hallucinogenic tablets of various types, in addition to 6 kg and 620 gr of drugs.
Thus, 24 people involved in these criminal activities were rounded up and brought before the competent judicial authorities, including a specialist in internal medicine and a woman.
In the framework of combating crimes against the national economy, the judicial police departments have been able to bust this criminal gang involved in the illegal trading of psychotropic substances, counterfeiting the national currency and putting it into circulation in addition to creating a place for loose morals and debauchery.
All the culprits have been remanded in custody except two other persons who are now under judicial supervision.
On the other hand, following the exploitation of precise information and constant monitoring, the judicial police services managed to arrest in the Tipaza area a wanted person who was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued against him by the French judicial authorities.
