Air Algerie’s official spokesperson, Amine Andaloussi, accused, on Wednesday, the French company Air France of resorting to unfair competition after announcing a major investment plan in the Algerian market in conjunction with the strike of the Algerian company’s flight attendants.

Andaloussi told the first national radio channel that “An international airline (Air France and its subsidiaries) launched a large plan to invest in Algeria in conjunction with the strike of Air Algérie’s flight attendants by launching 17 flights towards Algeria per week”.

“The French airline company targeted the Algerian market and the workers of Air Algérie must be vigilant because the Algerian company is targeted”, referring to the French company that is taking advantage of the crisis between flight attendants and Air Algérie’s administration, to invest in this market.

For three days, Air Algérie’s flight attendants have launched a general strike, delaying many internal and international flights.
