Algeria To Expound Its Telling Reconciliation Experience At International Symposium In Rabat (Morocco)

A delegation from the National People’s Assembly will take part in an international symposium on “National reconciliation experiences that led to political stability, social peace and peace building” as well as in the “Founding Meeting of the Parliamentary Network for Food Security in Africa and in the Arab World” on 17 and 18 January 2019 in the Moroccan capital Rabat.
The agenda of this high-profile international meeting, to be attended by MP Abdelhak Kazitani, representing the National People’s Assembly, includes the study of several topics related to “national reconciliation from the perspective of transitional justice” and “reconciliation experiences: results and challenges”.
Also on focus, the theme: “the role of parliaments in consolidating reconciliation processes” as well as “the role of national institutions in reconciliation paths and guarantees of non-repetition”.
The establishment of the Parliamentary Network for Food Security in Africa and in the Arab World will be announced and ratified in accordance with the contents of the final communiqué of the Inter-Parliamentary Economic Forum for Africa and the Arab World, “in order to build an integrated model for regional cooperation”, in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
The founding meeting of the Parliamentary Network for Food Security in Africa and in the Arab World is organized by the Association of Senates, Shura Councils and Similar Councils in Africa and in the Arab World in cooperation with the Moroccan Council of Advisers and in partnership with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
