Dozens of Algeria young illegal immigrants in Spain called upon the President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, to intervene in order to solve their serious problem, which is depriving them of all their rights in Spain, and gradually blurring their identity due the decision of some consulates to refuse the renewal of their passport by telling they do not have the right to obtain new passports, and it come to all those who do not have official residence documents in Spain.

A representative of the Algerian youth, “Dr. Mohamed” told Echorouk in a phone conversation, that it became intolerable in view of the negative deal with the Algerian nationals, especially regarding the renewal of the passports, which is the only official document which represent the identity of those young immigrants abroad, because they do not have official residence documents.

In this regard, it is noted that there are citizens who travel with their families and children specifically to the poll offices that are away from the suburbs in which they live in order to perform their national duty, but they clash with the rejection of the electoral process organizers, and when they show their passports, and temporary residence documents that are granted to them in the framework of ensuring their rights, the passport supervisors said that the expired passports are not recognized, which makes them live without identities and all that binds them to Algeria fell.

“Algerian illegal immigrants in several Spanish cities, such as Valencia, Girona, Zaragoza and other cities, are facing several problems and I am appealing, on their behalf, the President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Boutaflika, to grant them at least the right to renew their passports, so that they can exercise their national rights whenever their homeland Algeria needs them, calling upon the Foreign Minister, to organize visits to Embassies and Consulates.

“I was a former civil protection worker, who emigrated to Spain in 2013 after suffering from oppression and pressure in my work, I was forced to resign and move with my wife and two children to Spain for decent living, and to escape social problems which destroyed. I promise to return to homeland with many immigrants after settling my situation to take care of my needy parents in Oran (Western Algeria)”.
