Algerian Whizz Kid Rafik Guitane Amid Row Between Le Havre And Rennes

Promising Algerian football player Rafik Guitane, nicknamed “The New Mehrez”, is unwittingly embroiled in a crisis between his current French club Le Havre and his future club of Rennes because of his recent absence from a French Ligue 2 match.
Coach of Le Havre team Osvald Tancho took the flying Algerian winger out of the final round of the second division for unclear reasons, angering Rennes, which considered the move as a reprisal for the player’s recent transfer to its fold.
The latest fixture of “The New Mehrez”, who was nicknamed as such because of the similarity of his style and performance with fellow Leicester City star Riyad Mehrez, was held last February in the face of Borges en Bresse team for the 27th stage of the second football division in France.
Rafik Guitane only played 15 games this season, with a play time of 409 minutes, during which he scored three decisive goals.
Many observers suggest that the young Algerian player, owing to his amazing talent, could become in the very near future one of the world’s leading football stars, prompting the French club of Rennes in January to pay 10 million Euros to take advantage of his services starting from next season.
Ligue 2: who is Rafik Guitane (Le Havre), the latest recruit of Rennes?
Rafik Guitane was recruited by Rennes club for a sum of nearly ten million Euros. Echorouk has therefore decided to look at the profile of the 18-year-old attacking midfielder to learn more.
Trained in Normandy, Rafik Guitane was born in Évreux in 1999. In 2005, he made his debut in his neighborhood club, “La Madeleine”.
And at the dawn of his tenth year, he changed places and started playing at the Evreux Football Club 27.
And it was under the benevolence and watchful eye of Mohamed El Kharraze, former director of training at the EFC27 (now responsible for recruiting young people at the HAC), that the young Guitane became more experienced.
In the summer of 2013, the left-footed young player joined the Le Havre’s training centre and progressed there.
