Government of Abdelmadjid Tebboune will go down to parliament on Tuesday to present its work plan that is approved by the cabinet on Wednesday.

A statement that was issued by the People's National Assembly said that the chairman Said Bouhadja conducted a consultative meeting on Sunday, June 18, 2017, with the heads of the parliamentary groups that are represented in the council, which is devoted to the arrangements for public meetings that are scheduled for this week to approve the list of vice presidents and present the government's plan and discuss it.

"On the basis of the draft plan, the work will resume on Tuesday, 20 June, with two sessions, the first will be held at 10 am, and will be devoted to the ratification of the list of Vice-Chairpersons, and the second will be held at 10 pm and will be allocated to listen to the PM Tenboune, who will submit his plan of action before the deputies, as provided for in Article 94 of the Constitution and will continue to work on Wednesday and Thursday, following a public discussion about the government's plan of action".

It was scheduled to present the government's plan of action on last May, 18, but the delayed ratification of the project by the Council of Ministers led to the postponement.

Choice of the new date to present the government's program was criticized by several opposition parties, which described the decision as an aim to pass the draft plan in a tight time, without opening a frank discussion about its austerity measures, added to those that came into effect two years ago.

It is expected that the project will be discussed and ratified within three days, i.e before Eid al-Fitr amid the absence of a large number of deputies, as most of whom went to their provinces in Ramadan period.

For its part, the parties that are loyal to the government want to close the file of the government program before Eid al-Fitr and devote themselves to work immediately after Ramadan.
