Over 250.000 Algerian tourists traveled to Tunisia through the land border crossings, from June 26 to 30, in the period that coincided with Eid al-Fitr holiday, and a total of 137,000 Algerians crossed daily towards Tunisia through all the land border crossings of Algeria with the eastern neighbor, without talking about travelers to Tunisia via the air, as reported on Tuesday by "Tunisia News" quoting the Algerian customs sources.

Same sources quoted an Algerian diplomat as refuting all the information that circulated recently, that the Algerians are reluctant to travel to Tunisia after the attack on an Algerian bus in Ezohour neighborhood in the suburb of "Sajomi" in Tunis last Monday, by a group of young Tunisians, adding that "the accident of the bus is no more than an isolated accident that was not programmed and can not affect the strength of bilateral and historical relationships between Algeria and Tunisia".

"Car incident attack against Algerians is a reckless act by unaware kids who are unaware of its consequences" Tunisia News website said.

"Based on the official statistics that were carried out by the border services of the Tunisian Interior Ministry with the Tourism Ministry, the tourist season in Tunisia is witnessing a recovery this year due to the influx of Algerian tourists who visited Tunisia from January 1 to June 30, 2017, reaching 766.000 Algerian tourists with an increase of 2.61% from last year, which is an unprecedented flow".
