Algeria’s commerce minister Mohamed Benmeradi Thursday said the government will review the imports ban list.

On his inspection visit to the province of Djelfa, Benmeradi said the ban would be lifted on some products and new products will be included in the list.

“A total of 22 products are banned,” he said.

He added that the issue of cars importing license has not been tackled by the government yet.

He also said there are 8 national markets of fruit and vegetables in Algeria.

The ministry plans to set up a national market of sheep. “The State subsidized 10 markets and there are sheep everywhere in the country.”
