Authorities Impose Strict Penalties On Citizens Who Violate Quarantine Measures

A number of the governors of the republic have imposed deterrent penalties against violators of the quarantine measures ordered by the government some time ago and ordered that it will be expanded to cover all national territory since Sunday.

The correspondences that were sent by the governors, following the meetings of the state security committees at the beginning of the current month, determine the levels of penalties for violators of quarantine, and the first punishment according to the correspondence, which copy is available to Echorouk, is the “placement of vehicles in pounds if the owners will violate quarantine, for 8 days”, and if they will repeat the same violation, the penalty imposed will double, and the offenders will be referred to the competent judicial authority.

In addition to the foregoing measures, all the citizens who are arrested in case of violation of the domestic partial quarantine measures are referred to the competent judicial authority.

To control the process, the state secretaries-general, the directors of the organization thereof, heads of departments and municipalities, and police and gendarmerie commanders were tasked with ensuring the implementation of the measures.

In another context, the General Directorate of Post and Communications has taken a measure that exempts employees in several directorates, such as employees of national education, from moving to post offices, to withdraw their monthly salaries, to prevent the outbreak of the Corona epidemic.

On this basis, an employee of the educational institution, the director of the institution, the economizer, or a professor acting on behalf of his colleagues, is assigned to withdraw their salaries at one time, provided that the employee in charge of the post office presents the official assignment and a postal document attached to the ID card for each employee.

The Postal Administration also provided mobile offices and some police headquarters, so that members of the security services could withdraw their salaries, without resorting to regular post offices, which are known to be very popular in the recent period.
