Chanegriha: “ANP Army Will Keep Algeria Safe And Sovereign”

Lieutenant General Said Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army (ANP), chaired Monday at the Higher School of Equipment (1st Military Region), the opening of the national seminar on “the maintenance in technical-operational condition of materials and equipment within the National People’s Army,” said a statement from the Ministry of National Defense (MND).

“At first and after the welcome ceremony, Lieutenant General followed, in the company of Major General Ali Sidane, Commander of the 1st Military Region and Major General Seddiki Smaïl, Central Director of Equipment, a presentation on the assessment of activities carried out under the first phase of the program of preparation of the Forces for the year 2020-2021, as well as the prospects for development of the Materiel Army in various areas,” the statement said.

The Lieutenant General then made a keynote speech in which he stated that the High Command of the National People’s Army was paying special attention to the Central Directorate of Material, with the aim of creating all the conditions and factors conducive to the continuous strengthening of the rise in the availability of our Armed Forces.

“The High Command of the National People’s Army pays special attention to the Central Material Directorate, with the aim of creating the conditions and factors conducive to the continuous strengthening of the build-up of the readiness of our Armed Forces and maintaining their readiness for any eventuality, and this thanks to the efforts of competent, ambitious and hopeful cadres and personnel who believe in their country’s capabilities, even its legitimate right to have the factors of power, as well as the means to preserve its independence and safeguard its national sovereignty,” said the Lieutenant General.

“Fully convinced of the importance of this sensitive weapon, I have ensured, since I was invested with the confidence of the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, the monitoring and support of all these establishments and structures”, he said.
“My recent visit to the Central Material Base of Beni Merrad in the 1st Military Region is only a clear proof of this particular interest and the attention I personally pay to this vital weapon”.

“I was thus able to see at first hand the qualitative advances, achieved with great determination, in the field of technology transfer for military purposes, while ensuring that they are mastered, so as to guarantee the renovation and modernization of military equipment, to promote technical and logistical support at the expected level, as well as multidisciplinary scientific and technical training for the benefit of managers and personnel,” he added.

The Lieutenant General Said Chanegriha also emphasized that “the Army of Equipment must be proud of all its considerable achievements, whose merit is certainly due to the men who work with patriotism, sincerity, self-sacrifice and silence”.

“The Materiel Weapon must be proud of all its achievements, whose merit certainly belongs to the men who work with pure patriotism, sincerity, abnegation and in silence, particularly in the field of renovation and development of major military means, so as to promote the tactical and operational capabilities of land battle corps units and master modern technologies”, he further underlined.

“These are proofs that testify to the innumerable advances of the National People’s Army, worthy heir of the National Liberation Army, inscribed within the framework of a judicious and enlightened vision, which tends to confer the stamp of complementarity to the efforts of all components of our Armed Forces,” said the Chief of Staff of the ANP.

“I am fully convinced that in fulfilling your professional duty, both at the central and regional levels, and even at the level of all units of the battle corps, you are aware of the importance and nobility of your missions towards your country, in the company of your colleagues of the various Armed Forces and Forces, especially in the area of strengthening the requirements of its national defense,” he added.
“Indeed, security and the safeguarding and consolidation of the country’s stability are the very reason for the existence of the National People’s Army, worthy heir of the National Liberation Army”, he pointed out.

“It is, therefore, the cornerstone on which all development efforts are based, which it aims to achieve, so that Algeria lives in security, remains proud, respected and sovereign and that its faithful sons are equal to the message of the glorious Revolution of November 1st, and worthy of preserving its noble and eternal values,” he further said.

Later on, the Lieutenant General Said Chanegriha announced the official opening of the seminar before inaugurating the Military Institute of Standardization, Technical Documentation and Codification, where he was briefed on the Institute and its missions, the MND statement concluded.
