Dr. Othmane Saadi: The Popular Movement In Algeria Besieged Divisive French Project

he President of the Algerian Association for the Defense of the Arabic Language, Dr. Othmane Saadi, said that Algeria must emerge from its current crisis and strive to hold fair and transparent elections in accordance with the demands of the youth of the popular movement, which will result in the election of the President of the Republic of Algeria.

In a public statement on Thursday, Dr. Saadi said that he had followed the waves of the widespread popular movement and found Algeria’s hope of the “November Baddisia” visible, as evidenced by the brandished placards that were written in Arabic away from any regional and ethnic character.

Addressing the people of consciousness, Mr Othmane Saadi stated: “Greetings to the people of consciousness who are besieging the divisive French project, which aims to divert us towards “Francophonia”, which works to keep Algeria within the new colonial orbit, thus stripping our country of its deep-seated identity.”

“The flag that must be raised at any popular rally ought to be the “Novemberan flag”, with no other banner being raised,” he underscored in this regard.

He further highlighted the need to “focus on the fact that Algeria has one language, the common Arabic language for all Algerians, the language of the Holy Quran, and we should promote the struggle for the implementation of the Law on the Generalization of the Use of Arabic Language,” which was duly signed in 1991.
