Foreign Minister of the Libyan Accord Government, Mohamed Taher Siala, has announced his refusal to participate in the meeting of foreign ministers of the neighbouring countries in Algeria, due on Thursday because of the presence of a representative of the Tobrouk government in the east.

A statement by the Accord Government’s Foreign Ministry confirmed that the Foreign Minister of the National Accord Government, Mohamed Taher Siala, refused to participate in the meeting of foreign ministers of the Libyan neighbours, that will be held tomorrow in the Algerian capital.

“In a phone call with his Algerian counterpart, the minister attributed the reason for the refusal to the presence of the so-called temporary foreign minister, which is a clear violation of the Security Council resolutions and the decision of all international organizations that prohibit dealing with a parallel representative from Libya”.
