Football: Fans Of Naples Club Are Bemoaning Glory Days Of Ghoulam

The fans of Italian Serie 1 club of Napoli, active on social networking pages, showed their fascination with the glory days of Algerian Fawzi Ghoulam within the squad’s line-up.

The absence of the much-talented Algerian left back from the team was duly felt against the backdrop of the latest defeat suffered by the Napoli squad versus leader Juventus (1-3), in the sixth stage of the Italian football league.

This was due, as they affirmed, to the very poor level displayed on the pitch by substitute Portuguese Mario Roy, who has replaced injured Ghoulam over the past few weeks, especially in the Allianz Stadium.

Yesterday, Italy’s newspapers reported that Roy had formed the Napoli club’s weakest point, allowing Juventus striker Joao Cancello to create a permanent threat.

In this context, “La Republica” newspaper described Roy’s performance as “catastrophic,” wondering at the same time, “When will Ghoulam return to the left side?”

It is the same attitude adopted by the fans of Naples, as the following excerpts from Twitter showed. “Mario Roy did a lot of damage to the team in the recent fixture versus Juventus. We do hope that Fawzi Ghoulam will return quickly to the stadiums.”

“Players like Heisage and Roy could have been acceptable solutions in the matches against only the smaller clubs. We’re eagerly waiting for Ghoulam’s early comeback on the pitch for the good of the Napoli squad”, they underlined.
