French Business Circles “Peck” In Privatization File To Grab Fruitful deals In Algeria

An important delegation of the French Business Movement (MEDEF), led by its President Pierre Gattaz, will stay in Algiers from February 6 to 8.

On this occasion, a ceremony for the signing of an agreement establishing the Algerian-French business council will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the El Aurassi Hotel (Algiers).

“The creation of this Council aims to mobilize companies from both countries so as to foster new partnerships and spur the promotion of economic, trade and industrial relations between Algeria and France,” said the FCE Forum of Heads of National Enterprises in an invitation to the press.

According to the same source, on the sidelines of this ceremony, a Business Forum will be set up dealing with four thematic workshops: digital, renewable energies, public-private partnership and outsourcing.

This visit by the French business leaders to Algeria, comes a week after French President Emmanuel Macron received in Paris the Algerian businessmen, the owner of the Civital complex, Issad Rebrab and the General Manager of the Condor complex, Abderrahmane Benhamadi.

Concurrently, on Friday, a delegation of business leaders from the Algerian General Confederation of Enterprises (CGEA), led by President Saida Neghza, met with the MEDEF President in Paris to discuss the prospects for developing the Algerian economic partnership. particularly in the industrial, agricultural, tourism and digital sectors, as well as the possibilities for exchange of experience between Algerian and French small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), according to a statement from the CGEA.

During the recent Paris meeting, the two sides evoked an Algerian-French business meeting to be held in Algiers, allowing economic operators from both countries to work effectively to implement cooperation projects in various sectors, the statement added.
