French Wife Of “Daesh” Terrorist Nabbed For Illegal Residence In Algeria

The representative of the General Prosecutor of the second penal chamber of the Boumerdes Court charged on Tuesday a woman of French nationality, “S. Catherine Jeanne”, in her forties with illegal residence in Algeria.

The French woman was arrested months ago in a villa in the center of the province of Boumerdes, about 60 km east of Algiers, on suspicion of being linked to the “Daesh” terrorist organization active in Iraq and Syria, through her Algerian husband, “W. Samir,” who is involved with the terrorist organization.

The defendant got married with him and has lived with him between England and France for 20 years, as the latter later joined the terrorist organization.

On this serious misdemeanor, for which she had already been convicted for two months in suspended custody by the Court of First Instance, the French defendant argued before the presiding judge that she was not aware that her residence permit in Algeria and the visa issued to her by England had expired since 2006.
