Gaid Salah: “By Hoisting The National Emblem, The Algerians Unleashed A Potent Response To The Gang And Its Relays”

The Deputy Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army (ANP), Major General Ahmed Gaïd Salah, said that the position of Algerians at the African Cup of Nations, who expressed, inside and outside the country, an unequalled pride in belonging to Algeria, was “a strong and clear response to the gang and its relays and to all those who dare to doubt the unity of this people,” said a statement from the Ministry of National Defense issued on Monday.
On this occasion, Major General Ahmed Gaïd Salah congratulated all military aircraft crews who had successfully completed the special mission to transport Algerian supporters to Cairo to support and encourage the national football team during the 2019 African Cup of Nations final, stating that, through this action, they have “contributed to bringing joy and happiness to the hearts of Algerians, who have expressed with a sincere feeling, inside and outside the country, an unequalled pride in belonging to a country called Algeria, by brandishing the national emblem in the four corners of the country and even abroad”.
“This was another opportunity for the Algerian people to prove their authenticity and veneration for their eternal symbols, as well as their fidelity to the solemn message of the millions of the noble Chouhada or Martyrs,” he added.
This position is also “a strong and clear response to the nefarious gang and its relays, and to all those who dare to doubt the unity of this people and their jealous love for their country,” said the Deputy Minister of National Defense.
This initiative, undertaken by the High Command in coordination with the Prime Minister, “was welcomed by all the Algerian people”, said Major General Ahmed Gaïd Salah, adding that “it was intended as a further opportunity for the National People’s Army to reiterate its commitment to accompany this great and valiant Algerian people, faithful and fond of their country, ensuring that the dear wish of the young people, who wish to support the national team, is met by providing all the material and human resources necessary for their total care, throughout this historic event”.
“Following the brilliant and exceptional achievement accomplished by our Air Force during the mission to transport Algerian supporters to Cairo, in the Arab Republic of Egypt, to support and encourage the national football team, on the occasion of the final of the 2019 African Cup of Nations, crowned by the brilliant victory of our national team, which won, with merit and brilliance, the African trophy for the second time in the history of independent Algeria, I am pleased to extend to all the crews of the nine (09) military aircraft, belonging to the Air Forces, who have successfully completed this special military mission, my warmest congratulations, as well as my most sincere thanks and gratitude, for the exceptional work accomplished and the sustained efforts made, thus honoring Algeria and the National People’s Army”, as he extolled the organizers at the head of this special mission.
“I take this opportunity to express my thanks and appreciation for the efforts made, with a view to the meticulous execution of the instructions of the High Command of the National People’s Army, to establish an airlift for the movement of supporters, with free return flights, as well as for their success in the technical preparation of the mobilized aircraft, which made it possible to carry out the mission in the best conditions and in record time, in an organized and controlled framework, according to the established program”, wrote Mr. Gaïd Salah to the Commander of the Boufarik Air Base and, through him, to his General Staff and his officers, Officers and Non Commissioned Officers”, he further stated.
“As much as this achievement is the result of the efforts made throughout your professional career and the result of a sense of perseverance, seriousness and firm determination to achieve the expected objective, it is also a mirror that truly reflects the level of the laborious efforts made by the High Command of the People’s National Army, not only at the level of the Air Forces but also at the level of all components of the People’s National Army, aimed at the continuous increase in the combative and operational availability of our Armed Forces”, he added.
“You are, rightly, those who have best devoted these efforts on the ground, with high professionalism, dedication and fidelity, just as you are those who have best demonstrated a sense of responsibility and duty, in the performance of this sensitive mission, towards your army and your country. You were, therefore, the cement that consolidated the Army-Nation bond, both in difficult times and in joy and achievement, and that built the Mother land edification, so that you would be worthy of the hopes of your people, namely Algeria’s solid bulwark and the impregnable citadel, which defends its land and skies,” said the Deputy Minister of National Defense.
This is a “supreme honour for which we must give thanks to Allah the Most High and implore him to strengthen the steps of all the faithful children of Algeria on the path so that He agrees with this country and its people, notably by safeguarding national sovereignty and independence, as well as maintaining its security and stability”, he also stressed.
“May this message of congratulations be a token of gratitude for the immense efforts made, as well as for the perseverance and dedication you have shown, for the success of the missions assigned. I hope that these well-deserved congratulations will also motivate you to achieve more positive results on the ground and to continue to carry out the assigned missions, with the required efficiency, at the level of the Air Force Command, in particular, and the National People’s Army in general,” finally underlined Major General Ahmed Gaïd Salah.
