Gaid Salah: “Presidential Elections Will Put An End To Those Who Want To Prolong The Crisis”

Holding presidential elections will put an end to those who try to prolong the crisis, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Gaid Salah, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the National Popular Army said on Monday, during his visit to Ouergla province (southern Algeria).

Gaid Salah calls for the rapid formation and installation of the Independent Commission for the Organization and Supervision of Elections, to avoid falling into the trap of constitutional vacuum.

He asserted in a speech during his meeting with the officials and members of the sector on the second day of his visit to the fourth military region that; “It should be noted that the holding of presidential elections will put an end to those who try to prolong the country’s crisis, and it is certain that the main step in this regard is the need to expedite the formation and installation of the independent body to organize and supervise the elections, and we are waiting in this context to accelerate the adoption of appropriate measures to activate this constitutional mechanism, as it is the appropriate legal tool to maintain the voter’s voice and to achieve the credibility of the elections.”

“The holding of presidential elections can avoid the trap of constitutional vacuum, and the resulting risks and undesirable situation which requires all the good people of Algeria who are jealous of the reputation of their homeland, and the interests of their country and its status among nations, to circumvent this fateful endeavor on the future of the country”.

Blockage And Constitutional Emptiness Is Programmed By Some Parties

Maj.Gen. Gaid Salah said; “We wonder about the remarkable absence of national figures, elites and national frames in light of the rapid events and developments in the country that require constructive proposals that will bring different viewpoints closer together”.

“In conclusion, those who want to keep the country in a state of blockage are people and parties intending to enter into a constitutional vacuum with all its risks and threats. The political obstruction and constitutional vacuum that are programmed in our country deliberately by some parties is a path that has a severe economic and social impact on the country, especially in the field of investments and maintain employment positions and the purchasing power of citizens, especially in the field of investments and maintaining employment positions and the purchasing power of citizens, but also on all other levels that are related to the development process in general, and it seems that there are those who are disturbed by the survival of the State that enjoys its prestige, and the continuation of its institutions in the exercise of their functions normally, despite this crisis”.

Activation of Article 102 Disturbs The Gang Leaders

“On this occasion, I would like to point out that Article 102 of the Constitution, which we initiated with the full responsibility, sincerity, and firmness, as an appropriate constitutional solution, I said, has provoked misinterpretations by the gang leaders who have caused a fuss to frustrate every effort that is made by the army leadership. Those who showed these positions as enemies of every successful endeavor, even if it is for the benefit of the country, their professional career attests proves that they did not provide anything to the army because they were simply preoccupied with achieving their narrow personal interests away from what their national duty dictates. It seems that their hatred of the army and its leadership amounted to the degree that they have already been upset by these developmental steps that our army made on more than one level. This concern, which reached serious limits with a clear goal, which is to try to weaken the army and stand in the way of this considerable development effort, ignoring that those who stand in the way of the National People’s Army and its leadership and are obstructing its efforts are necessarily standing against the interests of Algeria”, Gaid Salah said in his speech.

“There is no doubt that what hit the heads of sedition which were uncovered are criminal and malicious and harmful to Algeria, and now they are facing fair and equitable punishment of the right and the law, and there will be the same fate, Inshallah, to all those involved in conspiring against the National People’s Army and Algeria, through criminal acts, those who will be revealed in the future by the ongoing investigations and perseverance that are underway, and they will also receive their fair and equitable punishment by the right and the law”, he added.

“Those who have been appointed to senior positions, and instead of making these posts an opportunity to assert their loyalty to their army and homeland through fieldwork and fruitful efforts, they insist on exploiting the advantages of their jobs and using them primarily for their personal objectives, wrongly believing that insisting on fabricating intrigues and conspiracies will ensure that they will survive what they are committing. We warn them that the Algerian state is strong with its laws, its people and its army”.
