Gaid Salah: “We Are Very Careful To Warn The Mafia’s Followers And Henchmen”

Major General Ahmed Gaid Salah, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army, warned of what he called the “Mafia’s followers” who are trying to put obstacles against building a strong and sound state and reject the constitutional process of presidential elections and raise false slogans with exposed goals and intentions, such as demanding a civil state, not a military state.

In his speech on Wednesday, Gaid Salah said during the ceremony of handing over the National People’s Army award for the best scientific, cultural and media work of 2019, in its eighth edition at the National Army Club in Algiers’ Beni Massous, that what the Mafia’s followers spread “poisonous ideas that are dictated by circles that are hostile to Algeria, and to its national institutions, parties which hate the national armed forces and their leadership, which proved by word and deed that they are in the service of the national principle line for the Algerian people, and that they are steadfast in fulfilling the covenant they made before God, the people, and history.”

People Who Spread Disorder Cannot Escape The Law

The Chief of Staff confirmed that “this sincere covenant, which has been fulfilled, worries the followers of the gang and its henchmen to the extent that they are carrying out campaigns of dubious with known targets, in every work that is carried out by the armed forces and their leadership of the Revolutionary November, and in every effort by every loyal to this country, they use the explicit calls to reject any action that can contribute to resolving the crisis, believing that they can escape the law. We warn them very strongly that Algeria is more precious and noble than it is to be exposed to it and to its people such as those who have sold their consciences and have become good tools in the hands of circles that show hostility to our nation.”

“This warning is dictated to us by the core of the powers that are trusted to us and the nature of the noble and sensitive tasks which the National People’s Army overseas. These vital tasks, which are preserving the national sovereignty and the maintenance of the territorial and popular unity of Algeria and its security and stability. Armed forces are like a castle with a high structure and sound roots, they were founded on the basis of a true history that sends in the sincere hearts that care for history’s right with all the motives of pride”.

“Every good and sincere word that is said in the army will increase it to the glory of the sun, and any ill-intentioned and unjust abuse will not diminish its value but will expose those who speak and reveal their true nature before themselves and before the people and history and before God before and after that, the Algerian National history is glorified and eternal that appreciates the fight and bring it to the prestigious degrees it deserves, and the real Mujahid is seen as a good seed not a seed of evil, and a constructive tool, not a deterrent to destruction. Anyone who disavows these true fight virtues has placed himself in the category of People who spread disorder, and men are like metals as it is said”.

The High Command’s Positions Of The Army Are Stable, Honest

Gaid Salah asserted that “The positions of the army’s senior leadership are consistent and sincere attitudes towards the country and the people since the beginning of the crisis and through all stages and until today. This steadfastness of opinion and position comes from the steadfastness of the national principle that is adopted by the military institution, which aims to protect the demands of the people and their legitimate aspirations in dealing with the process of finding constitutional solutions to this political crisis. All the efforts that were made by the military institution so far are primarily considered to the supreme interest of the nation. This supreme interest requires the consolidation of the efforts of all the good people of Algeria and move positively in preparation for the effective and hard work to hold the next presidential elections as soon as possible, through the adoption of serious national and constructive dialogue that is indicated by all the benevolent efforts with realism and reasonable initiatives.”

As for the approach of the head of state to remove the country from its current crisis, Gaid Saleh expressed his support and encouragement for its content, asserting that it is “a serious step within the steps that should be taken on the path to find appropriate solutions to this political crisis of the country. These solutions that are considered by the army as a constitutional and legitimate first fruits in the upcoming presidential elections, and we consider that they carry with them the means to ensure the continuation of the steps to establish the rule of law and the rule of economic renaissance and social prosperity and social cohesion, security, and stability.

The Last Warning To Those Who Trade The Future Of Algeria

“It is time to look carefully at the protection of Algeria’s supreme interest in taking all the legal measures against all these agents, to protect the right of the people’s future and the fate of the country. It is certain that the justice system will decide the fate of these traitors and will take all fair measures, but deterrent and strict, and those who dare to harm Algeria and the future of its people and the permanence of its state, will not go unpunished and will face justice after a long or short time”.

“It is the last warning to all those traffickers of the future of the homeland and its supreùe interests. Those who made the dare on the national flag and abused the respect of the national flag, the symbol of the martyrs and the pride of the Algerian nation as a whole, are political prisoners and prisoners of conscience”.

Gaid Salah wondered; “Do you think that they are so smart that they can deceive the Algerian people with these tricks? “The Algerian people will not allow anyone to insult their national flag. They are not the sons of these people and they do not know the core of its values and principles and its attachment to its national history, and this is the mentality of those who spread disorder, the corrupt mind will produce corrupt opinion, corrupt behavior, and corrupt attitude, and this is the nature of things. “

Gaid Salah also said that combating corruption and eradicating it from our country is a natural continuation to fight the evils of French colonialism, and also to fight against the abhorrent scourge of terrorism, and as our heroic people defeated colonialism and terrorism in the past, it will inevitably win the scourge of corruption.

“We must recall that the Algerian people, who fought against the evils of French colonialism in the past, and who succeeded, together with the National Liberation Army, in defeating it after heavy sacrifices and overcoming all its multiple and far-reaching defeats, also managed to fight the scourge of terrorism, with all its evils, dangerous and abhorrent behaviour, and was able to accompany the National People’s Army to win it and uproot its roots from this good land”.

“I said that the people who fought the colonialism and the terrorism is now facing another challenge no less dangerous, which is corruption in all its meaning, and it is certain that what the army is doing in this endeavor is an unmatched effort with the aim to final elimination of the last bastion of the colonial strongholds in our country”.

“Corruption is another form of colonialism, it is the colonization of minds that affects the killing of all conscious that have the potential of colonialism, the gang today that revealed all the harms and the evil, still has followers and supporters in society and is still this gang that seeks to penetrate its ranks and influence the nature of the legitimate popular demands, and even try to direct these demands to the point that is in line with the despicable purposes of this gang. This requires, once again, to take care and caution about framing these protests”.
