International Observatory Of Human Rights: “Algeria Is Right In Its Decision To Prevent Syrian Migrants From Entering Its Territory”
Algerian Office of the International Observatory of Human Rights expressed its absolute support for the authorities’ decision to prevent all Syrians from entering Algeria via the southern border with Mali and Niger to prevent the infiltration of Syrian armed opposition fighters from Turkey towards these African country using forged passports.
It criticized in a statement on Thursday the report that was issued by the Algerian League for the Defense of Human Rights, condemning the deportation of Syrian and Palestinian immigrants to Niger, before retreating from its criticism in a statement that was issued last Wednesday.
International Observatory for Information and Human Rights (Algeria Office) considered that “What these local organizations did emphasizes that no one has the right to manipulate a sensitive file such like illegal immigration and hiding behind the humanitarian nature of the phenomenon”.
“When it comes to the security and stability of Algeria, which we consider a red line, we will not allow it to be harmed and we will be vigilant and confront any attempt by local or international human rights organizations to destabilize Algeria.”
“Some human rights organizations that are active locally are trying to create confusion and use the reports of international organizations as a means of exerting pressure on the Algerian state”, the Algerian office of the International Observatory for Media and Human Rights, headed by Ismail Kouadria, said, referring to what he called “false reports that criticized Algeria’s deportation of Arab migrants who are carrying Syrian and Palestinian nationalities and who had entered the country illegally from Mali.”
The statement went further, when it confirmed that, “These domestic human rights organizations are currently working with suspicious international NGOs to undermine the national security of Algeria and provide indirect support to international terrorist circles that are disguised under a humanitarian cover to enter and implement a plan to destabilize Algeria’s security and stability.”
