Dozens of members of the Algerian community settled in France staged a protest on Tuesday at the Marseille International Airport in front of the French air company “Avia Partner”, as the latter is the owner of the air services deal with Air Algerie airlines, meant to ensure the comfort of passengers before and during the flights including the funneling of goods and the completion of legal procedures, until the take off of the aircraft.
The protestors told “Echorouk” that their protest actions were due to the repeated insults by the French multinational and employees, and the weakness and low services, especially with the elderly and young children, especially the sick.
The Algerian community members demanded the Algerian and French authorities to intervene urgently and enforce the law, through the implementation of the entire content of the relevant book of specifications.
A 41-year-old Algerian resident of Marseilles said that “Avia Partner” signed the service deal in 2016 at the Marseille airport for the benefit of Air Algerie airlines for a financial amount of more than 120,000 Euros per month.
He added that workers of different nationalities, including Israelis and others, except the Algerians, and their agents have been deliberately insulting Algerians and imposing complex and unrealistic laws, with the huge shortage of services, and this untoward situation bitterly angered the Algerians on Tuesday morning by prompting them to wage a protest against the company and urged the authorities to intervene and to rescind the service contract, and thereby ensure that such a contract is won by Algerian Airlines workers.
