Moroccan Artist Imprisoned In Oran For Drugs Smuggling

A Moroccan singer arrested a week ago by the anti-drug squad of the judicial police in the western province of Oran is a popular singer, namely Tayeb Ighli, who lives in Morocco’s Rif region.
He was arrested along with 10 other suspects involved in drugs possession and trafficking offense, according to Echorouk’s sources.
Moroccan singer of popular music Tayeb Ighli was famous for performing traditional songs with the band “Tnagafat”, notably at popular evening parties and weddings.
However, his suspicious relations with the promoters of the “Kif” narcotic according to the sources of “Echorouk”, made him drift astray with that smuggling network, and ultimately found himself behind bars after his last visit to the province of Oran.
The recent operation conducted by the anti-drug judicial police in the case resulted in the seizure of 63 kilograms of narcotics and the arrest of 10 suspects including the Moroccan singer himself.
As noted in the report of the security services, the case wrapped up with the arrest of the ring-leader of the trafficking network, who is a wanted drugs baron who was rounded up and questioned for a long time, on the basis of the confessions made by his henchmen who were arrested a week ago.
