Ouyahia: “We Refuse Setting Up Camps For African Migrants To Protect Europe And That’s Why They Criticize Us”

The Secretary-General of the RND Party, Mr, Ahmed Ouyahia, has announced his party’s support for Bouteflika’s candidacy for a fifth straight term in office in the upcoming Spring 2019 Presidential elections.

He stressed that his political party “backs up Mr Abdelaziz Bouteflika to assume a new term as President of the Republic and to pursue his mission and sacrifice at the service of Algeria.”

“It’s the choice of the national council. It is a choice at the service of security, stability and Algeria,“ argued Mr Ouyahia, pointing out that the RND party has remained faithful to its political line since 1999, notably since the coming to power of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

Evoking another file, Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia, also Secretary General of the RND Party, strongly denounced in a speech delivered on Thursday 21 June during the national council of his party, the low-down accusations leveled of late against Algeria.

“Because Algeria does not accept to be a detention centre for African migrants for Europe’s benefit, it is the target of infamous attacks by outside organizations that even dare accuse our country of racism,” stated Mr Ouyahia.

The RND Secretary General also firmly hit out against the accusations launched against Algeria by neighboring Morocco.

“The solidarity of our country with the Saharawi people raises vile accusations against Algeria from our western neighbor which by its adverse behavior insults especially the common future of the Maghreb,” criticized Ahmed Ouyahia.

The latter also pointed to the fact that Algeria is increasingly “the destination of an influx of drugs meant to destroy our social fabric and especially our youth, an aggression to which our security forces are opposed with their utmost vigilance,” underlined the Prime Minister.

“It is therefore in the face of all these realities that we must appreciate every day the importance of security, stability and steady development in our country,” added Mr. Ouyahia.
