Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola praised Algeria international Riyad Mahrez in a media conference on Friday.
Coach Pep Guardiola said: “Mahrez is a very talented player, he only should not be too busy if he is not given the chance. His presence on the pitch will not diminish his efficiency, and he and his teammates should know that not all key players can be included in a single game.”
“Riyad contributed a lot to Manchester City’s title last season. We did not get tired when we brought him from Leicester because he quickly adapted to our tactical plans and the new environment.”
“Riyad last season played good but didn’t play many games – this time more regularly,” said Guardiola.
“His performances are always top – how we help us defending, very involved.
“With the quality he has, it’s overwhelming. We all know it. It’s a pleasure to watch him play football.”
“Mahrez loves to play football, and he plays without pressure, and when he makes mistakes he strives to correct the error. Frankly, it is a model for big players.”
Manchester City coach praised Algeria star Mahrez after his brilliant achievement in the match against Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday evening, to calculate the first round of the group stage of the European Champions League.
The Algerian international star scored one goal and made another, and contributed to the precious victory of Manchester City (0-3), which contributed to the title of the honorary man of the match.
Winger Riyad Mahrez and his team Manchester City are waiting for an official match here on Saturday afternoon against the visitors Watford, in the framework of the sixth round of the English championship.
