President Abdelaziz Bouteflika sent a message of congratulations to the President of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Unity of Libya, Fayez El-Sarraj, on the occasion of the celebration of the anniversary of the 17 February Revolution, in which he reaffirmed his pledge to work with him to “strengthen ties of fraternity and solidarity and to enhance cooperation relations in various fields of endeavor”.
“It is a pleasure for me, as the brotherly State of Libya celebrates the anniversary of the glorious 17 February Revolution, to express to you, on behalf of the Algerian people and government and on my own behalf, our warm congratulations and my wishes for good health and well-being, and for the progress and prosperity of the brotherly Libyan people,” President Bouteflika wrote in his message.
“I would like to seize this opportunity to reiterate my firm commitment to work with you to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, solidarity and good neighborliness between our countries, and to develop cooperation relations in various fields at the service of the common interests of our two countries,” the President added.
“I would also like to assure you that Algeria will continue to support Libya and will spare no effort to accompany this sister country on the path of dialogue and national reconciliation. I am therefore convinced that the Libyan people will be able to overcome the current difficulties they are facing and achieve their legitimate aspirations for a dignified life, progress and prosperity,” the President of the Republic concluded.
