Street in Jenine (Occupied Palestine) Named After Late President Houari Boumedienne

 Organizations in the Jenine governorate of occupied Palestine have named one of its main streets, after the late Algerian President Houari Boumediene, in appreciation of his sustained support and honorable stances towards the Palestinian cause.

ccording to Palestinian media, the celebration took place at the initiative of the factions of the Palestine Liberation Organization in Jenine, including the People’s Committee for Refugees, the National Commission for the Commemoration of Arab Martyrs, the Insan Association for National Action, member of the Central Committee of the Arab Liberation Front Abdullah Qabha, Chairman of the National Commission for the Commemoration of Arab Martyrs, Muhammad Habache, and head of the Association for national action, Colonel Fida Turkman, and representatives of the People’s Committee for Refugees, as well as the Fatah movement in the Jenine region, the national action factions, the civil, security, popular and media institutions and the Algerian Women’s Union in Palestine.

Several speeches were made on this occasion, highly praising the great role of Algeria and its unswerving support for the Palestinian cause, with on focus the lofty position of late Algerian President Houari Boumediene who had declared: “Algeria is always with Palestine whether it is unjust or oppressed.”
