Talking about the Pieds-Noirs return to Algeria is unfounded media statements, the Minister of Mujahideen (War Veterans), Tayeb Zitouni, said on Monday.
“There are positive indicators regarding the file of retrieving the National Archives from France”, he added, but avoided to go into the file of retrieving the skulls of resistance revolution martyrs.
Zitouni called for making the sacrifices of the Mujahideen during the liberation revolution an example for generations to “win the stakes” on Algeria.
He explained, during a historic symposium, that was held on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the martyrdom of the four heroes of the Kasbah (Hassiba Ben Bouali, Ali Ammar called Ali La pointe, Mahmoud Bouhamidi, and Yassef Amr called Omar Esaghir), that “the history and lessons of the liberation revolution must be established as a guiding light for generations to understand their present and build their future.”
In this regard, the Minister referred to the message of the President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, in which he called upon the Algerian people to make the Mujahideen and the righteous martyrs an example to continue the process of building the homeland.
In response to the message of the martyrs, the minister of Mujahideen said: “Today we must be at the level of sacrifice and awareness of the necessity of communication and continuity to win the stakes.”
During the meeting, which was organized by the National Museum of Mujahideen and was attended by Mujahideen (war veterans) and secondary schools’ students, on Monday, he explained; Algeria’s sovereignty, the Algerian people are looking forward today to win the bet of progress and development. “
“If the past sacrifices of the martyrs restored Algeria’s sovereignty, the Algerian people today aspires to win the bet of progress and development.”
Minister of Mujahideen, who accompanied the governor of Algiers, Abdelkader Zoukh, and members of the revolutionary family, visited the house of the four martyrs in the Kasbah, where they read the Qoran’s Fatiha in honor of their pure souls and put a wreath of flowers”.
