TLS Contact Proposes Voluntary Departure Of Employees

The “TLS Contact” company, which is tasked with collecting the files of the French visa applicants in Oran and Annaba, the Italian visa and other European countries, has resorted to a proposal for voluntary departure of employees and workers, to face the financial troubles they have been suffering for months due to the suspension of activity because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Echorouk sources related to the file, the company surprised the employees with a proposal to leave voluntarily on September 9th, a deadline of 24 hours only with the requirement to submit the resignation, which was like placing them before the fait accompli, according to employees who spoke to Echorouk.

Echorouk sources asserted that the administration provided in the proposal for a voluntary departure to benefit from one month for each year of service, and it was calculated by deducting fees and taxes (tax on public income and retirement contributions), while those who rejected the voluntary departure proposal were referred to the social conflict services.

The company suffered financial troubles, according to Echorouk sources, as a result of the suspension of its activity since last March because of measures to combat the Covid19, as it was collectively agreed with the workers to pay salaries within the limits of 50% as of last June, but the continued blockage of activity prompted the administration to submit a proposal for voluntary departure.

Previously, between 70 and 100 employees have so far left TLS Contact, voluntarily.
