Victims Of Terrorism To Receive DZD 27.000 Monthly Pensions

A joint ministerial directive that was signed by four ministers specified the value of monthly pensions to compensate for physical damage resulting from a terrorist act or incident in the context of counter terrorism by 1.5 for the guaranteed minimum national wage, i.e, DZD 27,000 counting DZD 18.000 as a national minimum wage.

According to the 11th number of the Official Gazette, the Joint Ministerial Order dated February 19, 2018, it came to complete the ministerial joint instruction of May 31, 1997, and aims at determining the terms and conditions of the monthly pension as stipulated under the title, “Compensation for physical injury that is resulting from a modified and supplemented act on victims of a terrorist incident in the fight against terrorism.

The first paragraph of the chapter, entitled “Different provisions”, is issued as follows: “The monthly pension shall not be less than one and a half times the guaranteed national wage, equivalent to DZD 27.000. Such joint ministerial instruction shall take effect if its signature and published in the Official Gazette”.

The joint instruction was signed by the Deputy Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army, Ahmed Gaid Saleh, Minister of Interior and Local Communities and Urban Planning Noureddine Badoui, Minister of Finance, Abderrahmane Raouia, and Minister of Employment, Labor and Social Security, Mourad Zemali.
