Who Brought Bernard Levy To Libya Again And Why?

Why did the so-called “Arab godfather of the Arab Spring”, the French-born, Algerian-born, Bernard Henri Levy, return to Libya in this particular circumstance, as he is the one cursed by the Libyans for his involvement in the destruction of their country, and what are the reasons for that?

The strange thing is that Bernard Levy landed in the city of Misrata, which is considered the second most important city, after Tripoli, in support of the internationally recognized government of reconciliation.

Notables, personalities and officials of this city already know that hosting Levy will bring them a storm of criticism, especially from their opponents in Tobruk and Al-Rijdah

Just as he moved in 2011, inciting the Libyan people to revolt against the leader of the former regime, late Muammar Gaddafi, he returned today to the same country, but with another mission, which is documenting the crimes of the militias of retired general Khalifa Haftar in Tarhuna, in a newspaper article he said he would publish in the well-known “The Wall Street Journal”.

The goal behind Bernard Levy’s return to Libya is not for just an ordinary journalist’s work, but rather a strategic dimension for him in the Libyan conflict, to implicate Khalifa Haftar as the leader of the eastern Libya camp, and end his role in the political and military equation in the eastern neighbor.

Levy did not do this task for the sake of the eyes of those who brought him from the Libyan Western camp, but rather to see a strategy defending the interests of the United States of America, which is the removal of Russian influence from Libya, which now threatens US and Western interests in general, in North Africa and the Mediterranean basin.

It is known that Khalifa Haftar relies in his war on the western region in Libya, on mercenaries of different nationalities, from the Sudanese Janjaweed and from Chad and Syria, but the most dangerous of them all are Russian Wagner mercenaries, which can be considered Russian semi-official forces, even if Moscow tries to cover it up as a private security company .

As Levy emphasized in one of his tweets, he had already visited one of the mass graves in the city of Tarhuna, and gave a description of the ages and gender of the victims, and how they were eliminated, by the Al-Kani militia, on the orders of Khalifa Haftar, before fleeing to Benghazi, after being defeated by GNA government forces, last June.

Those who brought the godfather of the Arab Spring to Libya hope that the issuance of a Levy article in the Wall Street Journal, will lead the International Criminal Court to move against Haftar and the leaders of his army, and put him on the list of the most wanted internationally, and then weaken his position in the Libyan equation, and the matter may even reach his imprisonment.

This is in retaliation for his rebellion against America, and his resting in the arms of Russia, although Washington saved him from the prisons of Chad and the gallows of Gaddafi, and granted him US citizenship, then in the end, he jumps to the other camp.

What Levi plans during his visit to Tarhuna is to repeat the scenario of dragging Bosnian Serb leaders to the international courts because of their crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo .. Will he succeed this time with Haftar? That is the standing question !!!
