Clashes between Algerian immigrants in France and the French police and gendarmerie broke out after dozens of immigrants went out to celebrate the national team, on Monday to Tuesday, leading to the arrest of 29 people.

Official spokesman for the French government said 29 Algerian immigrants were arrested on Tuesday nights, as they are supporters of the Algerian team.
“Arrests took place in different parts of the French territory after the exit of Algeria from the World Cup before Germany, and not in another area. Night was quiet compared to past days, and we recorded the arrest of 29 people on the national territory, because of simple riots, put barricades or cars, as everything went normal, contrary to some fears and warning.”
According to what was reported by French TV “BFMTV”, as the French city Lyon noticed clashes between about 300 youth and the French police, the source said the clashes that broke out in one and a half in the morning, had begun after youths threw projectiles at police, which responded with gas tear, to disperse the protesters.
In the southern French city Marseille, the source reported that the police intervened to disperse about 200 youth, without causing clashes between these two sides.
In Paris, festivities kicked of from Barbesse neighborhood, in convoys of cars carrying the Algerian flag, to the Champs-Elysees, under the siege of anti-riot police.
French authorities prepared for the game and called on the authorities to show the behavior of citizenship and sportsmanship, away from any chaos or attacks, at a time when the French security services deployed at least 500 elements of security forces in the city of Lyon alone in anticipation of the match between Algeria and Germany, and between 338 and 412 cops and anti-riot police in Marseille, Bordeaux, Strasbourg, Grenoble, Paris, and others.
French government called upon supporters of the national team to sanity and avoid spoiling the wedding and the joy of the World Cup, while the mayor of Lille, Martine Aubry, sent a joint letter with the Consul of France in Algeria, to the Desert Foxes fans, asking them to act on the basis of citizenship and sportsmanship.
