Palestinian official to Echouorouk: Arab weakness boosted Israeli invasion of Gaza

The spokesman of the Palestinian movement Hamas Fouzi Berhoum has indicated that the Arab initiative that brings together several parties in Cairo aims at preventing future Israeli attacks and genocides against the Palestinian people, and fulfils their grievances.

• In a declaration to Echourouk, the official said “ The war on Gaza put the Arab officials and peoples in front of a choice but their reactions didn’t live up to the expectations, because the invader didn’t sense the gravity of its crimes and didn’t feel any diplomatic or popular pressure… Moreover, America doesn’t feel uneasy on the international scene”.

  Berhoum singled out the weakness of the Arab world reaction adding” This symbolic reaction has encouraged the Israelis to carry out their genocides against the Palestinian people, because Israel has carefully planned for its crimes amidst the context of the Arab revolutions… If the Arab and Islamic peoples as well as their decision makers do not exert their pressure on Israel, the invaders might carry out further genocides more lethal than the actual ones”.

  The Palestinian official has indicated that the debate underway in Cairo doesn’t focus on easing the situation, but stopping the attacks and fulfilling the Palestinian resistance’s grievances as well as condemning the invaders that receive clear and full support from their traditional ally , America”.

  Berhoum has called on the Palestinian authority to lift off its hand on the resistance in the western bank and strike the Israeli targets everywhere. He stressed the importance of leaving free way to the Palestinian resistance in the western bank so as to support the decisive battle of Gaza.
