We Call Algeria to Expel Syria Ambassador, al-Maleh
The Syrian human right veteran activist, member of the executive committee of the Syrian National Council, Haitham al-Maleh, has called upon Algeria to expel the Syrian Ambassador and close down the Embassy, given that Bashar al-Assad regime has lost legitimacy.
Mr Haitham al-Maleh told Farida Lakehel of Echorouk that “Now that the Arab-West resolution failed at the Security Council, due to China and Rassia veto, the only way for the Syrian people, by now, to stop the bloodshed, is to head toward the United Nations,” adding “And then, we will hold an international conference to discuss the issue in a European country, likely in Turkey as Turkish FM welcomed the idea; and meanwhile, we will continue international pressure on the Syrian government.”
The activist specified that “We call upon the countries which still haven’t withdrawn their ambassador from Syria, including Algeria, to do it immediately, and expel Syria pro regime ambassadors from their territories, and ultimately completely isolate the regime.”
