The far-right platforms attacked the remaining semi-independent media outlets in France, following the television program broadcasted by France 5 (public channel) from Sunday to Monday night, which was attended by historian Benjamin Stora and historian Najib Sidi Moussa, and included criticisms of the misinformation propagated by Boualem Sansal regarding Algeria.

“CNews,” a channel that defends far-right positions, dedicated a special segment to respond to the program presented by the public channel, while Pascal Praud, the program host, paused at each clip of the public channel’s video, uttering the word “shame” towards the channel and the guest, Najib Sidi Moussa, of Algerian descent, who teaches history and geography at several French universities, including the Sorbonne.

Pascal Praud, known for his far-right positions and support for the Zionist entity, said: “Shame on public service.” Shame on the public channel France 5. Shame on the program host, Thomas Snégaroff, who allowed despicable remarks from Najib Sidi Moussa on the set of a public channel, in defense of the imprisonment of Boualem Sansal.

Historian Benjamin Stora was one of the guests on the plateau and was attacked by Pascal Praud, who claimed that “Stora accused Kamel Daoud of being a far-right writer.” The host accused him of not fulfilling his role as a presenter because he invited people who, according to him, did not deserve to appear on the program. Meanwhile, one of the guests invited by Pascal said, “Algeria brought France to its knees” because of the Sansal affair.

But what did the political science professor, Najib Sidi Moussa, say about Boulalam Sinsal to provoke this attack from a host known for his racism in the program he participated in alongside historian Benjamin Stora? Naji Sidi Moussa said, “Boualem Sansal was promoting an anti-immigrant discourse every time, and he was repeating phrases that came from Eric Zemmour,” who is an extremist Zionist Jew and the founder of the “Reconquête” party, associated with the far-right.
His party suffered a significant electoral setback in the recent legislative elections in France, revealing its true size among the French, which turned out to be much smaller compared to the media noise it creates every time he appears on private French television channels.

As for Benjamin Stora, he directed shocking criticisms at Boualem Sansal due to the statements he made about Algeria about a month ago. He explicitly stated that Sansal forgot some important issues, namely that the region of Mascara, which he spoke about, was the capital of the Algerian resistance against French occupation, led by Emir Abdelkader, who is considered a towering national symbol in the eyes of Algerians.

As for Tlemcen, close to the Moroccan border, according to the French historian, it is the birthplace of Messali Hadj, the leader of the nationalist movement that ignited Algeria’s desire for political struggle to expel the French occupier. This was a resounding slap to Sansal, who was well aware of these facts. Nevertheless, he tried to mislead public opinion to serve the agendas that this alleged writer works for.

The other far-right media outlets in France did not miss the opportunity to attack the television program on Channel 5, whose host was keen to invite figures with diverse viewpoints, including two journalists known for their far-right affiliations, such as Rachel Binass, a journalist for “Marianne” magazine, and Delphine Minou, from the far-right newspaper “Le Figaro.”

As usual, the right-wing newspaper “Le Figaro” did not miss the opportunity to criticize the program of the public French channel, France 5. It wrote a critical article about the program, stating in the introduction: “Instead of defending Boualem Sansal as a victim, the France 5 studio placed him in the category of the accused.” The arrows were directed at the political science professor, Nadjib Sidi Moussa, and to a lesser extent, Benjamin Stora.
