Algeria proposes a plan to Ghanouchi to fight terror
Algeria offered to the leader of Tunisia’s Nahda Movement Rached Ghanouchi to help his country in the fight against terrorism in the region, Jeune Afrique reported on Thursday citing an Algerian source.
Ghanouchi’s visit to Algeria on August 28th came up with a serious plan about the situation in Libya and terrorism in the region, said the same source.
The French magazine also said Algeria chose Ghanouchi as its favored and main partner in maneuvers in the borders region after its neighbor countries had rejected its request.
The Algerian authorities asked Nahda’s leader to prevent Tunisian jihadists from receiving any support from political parties.
He was also asked to reject any foreign interference in Libya and to urge Sudan to stop funding former jihadist Abdelhakim Belhadj in Tripoli.
Libyan sources said armed militias plan to wage a long battle against any possible international intervention.
Violent training sessions are held by Islamic militias in Sadada area while young Libyan people are arrested and put in camps, according to sources.
