Algeria sends aid to Gaza and Tajikistan

President Bouteflika ordered to send emergency aid to Gaza and Tajikistan

Algeria sent six military planes loaded with different humanitarian aid on Sunday to Gaza and Tajikistan.

Algerian solidarity minister who supervised the delivery said the act is part of relations between Algeria and the two countries.

“President Abdelaziz Bouteflika ordered to send emergency aid to Gaza due to the embargo on it,” said the minister.Tajikistan has suffered from natural catastrophes brought by abnormally cold weather since January.

A total of 4,000 blankets were delivered to Gaza and Tajikistan; 2,000 for each. Some 140 tons of food including milk, sugar and pasta as well as 20 tons of medicines were airlifted from Algeria.The two countries’ ambassadors to Algeria attended the delivery at Boufarik military airport.The ambassador of Tajikistan said his country’s president will soon pay a visit to Algeria at the invitation of Algerian President Bouteflika.For his part, the solidarity minister said Algeria will provide other aid to the two countries.
