Algeria Succeeds in Avoiding Israeli “Humiliation”

Algeria succeeded on Sunday in avoiding an insult that was prepared in advance by the Zionists, after boycotting, at the last moment, an extraordinary meeting of foreign ministers of countries which are members of the Committee for Palestine, emanating from the Non-Aligned Movement in Ramallah, which followed the Summit of the Non-Aligned countries in Iran, as Foreign Minister of ‭ ‬four countries were prevented from entering ‭the Palestinian territories ‭. ‬

The Palestinian Foreign Affairs Ministry announced on the cancellation of the meeting which was scheduled for Sunday, of the Foreign Ministers of the Non-Aligned countries in the city of Ramallah, because Israel prevented Foreign ministers of four Member States of the Organization from entering the Palestinian territories, and it comes to Cuba, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Malaysia, under the pretext that they do not have any diplomatic relationships ‭with Israel‭. ‬

AFP quoted a Palestinian official, who asked not to be identified, as saying that “the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informed the Palestinian side that it will prevent the entry of four foreign ministers of the Non-Aligned Movement, to the Palestinian territories to attend the meeting of the Committee on Palestine in the organization”, which was ‭scheduled to take place on ‭Sunday in Ramallah in the West Bank.

Algeria preempted the “humiliating” procedure by Israelis, especially as they were waiting for a favorable opportunity for that, to announce that it will not participate in the meeting, as the Israeli authorities prevented the Foreign Ministers of Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Cuba, from entering the West Bank to participate in the Conference, as President ‭Mahmoud Abbas was expected to announce the UN support ‭the Palestinian demand for obtaining the non-complete membership‬, ‭and convict the settlement‭. ‬

The Palestinian foreign minister, Riad al-Malki, confirmed that Algeria has apologized for non participating in the meeting of the Organization of the Non-Aligned countries in the occupied Ramallah, because Algeria avoids any collision of its delegation with the Israeli side, at any of the crossings, controlled by the Jewish state, and to avoid any Israeli action against the Algerian diplomats”, considering that Algeria does not have any‭ ‬relationships with Israel‭. ‬
