Algeria women football squad shut out from African Nations’ Cup competition
The Algerian women football team has been eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations contest after sustaining a 2-1 defeat on Sunday versus Tunisia in Tunis .The Tunisians managed to score the winning goal at the 89th minute of the game, just a few minutes before the referee’s final whistle.
In the first-leg match played a fortnight ago in Algiers , the two national women line-ups drew level nil all.
The unexpected elimination of the Algeria team is widely expected to bring about the dismissal of the national coach and his close collaborators.
