Algerian Tunisian front to face “ISIS Scarecrow”
Algeria’s foreign minister Ramtane Lamamra said his country will continue coordinating with Tunisia to fight terrorism. This comes as Tunisian town Ben Guerdan was targeted by a terror attack. Security forces killed 36 terrorists and arrested 7 others.
Lamamra hailed « Tunisian security forces professionalism as they managed to cause big losses to terrorist groups.”
Algeria and Tunisia share the same principle about rejecting foreign intervention in Libya.
Tunisia’s President Badji Gaid Sabssi said the Libyan crisis can be solved by political solutions and a national consensus government.
Tunisia and Algeria seek to have a common position about the Libyan crisis. Visits are remarkably exchanged between delegations from the two countries.
Algeria continuously receives Tunisian officials to update action plans and hold consultations about security issues.
Earlier in February, Tunisia’s foreign minister Khamis Djhinaoui said security common coordination between the two countries made progresses.
Tunisian defence minister Ferhat Harchani said his country will not offer any support to any military intervention against Libya.
