Algerians should not fear of Daesh, Religious Affairs Minister

All imams who are suffering from a housing crisis, will soon benefit from endowment functional houses which are under construction, in coordination with the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism, as two functional houses will be built in every new mosque, and for the success of this program a national operation was launched to count imams needs in this area, Religious Affairs Minister said, during his supervision on Wednesday, on the conclusion of the preparatory training in French for imams who are assigned to the Paris Mosque.

Minister Mohamed Issa, said in “Dar el-Imam” in Mohamedia, in response to a question about an invitation by Algiers governor to imams to calm protesters and citizens against housing, while most of them are suffering from a housing crisis, the Algerian imam is doing his full duty, and the State should enable him to get his complete its rights, especially the housing”.
“A national operation was launched to determine the needs of imams of the housing, and this in coordination with the Housing Ministry, as functional houses will be built at the rate of two houses when building every new mosque.”
Regarding the concerns that were raised by some protesters, including risk of the terrorist organization “Daesh” on Algerians, the minister explained that Imams defend the moderate Islam.
“Algerians should not fear from Daesh. We refuse to let Algeria become an arena for a virtual battle which does not concern them.”
“Imams are assigned outside the country to immunize the Algerian community living abroad and maintain the Algerian religious authority abroad is not confined to the side of the religious framing only.”
