ALGERIE TELECOM: « ATHIR », a new asset in the WIMAX field

“ATHIR”, the name of the new telecommunications network WIMAX. It has been introduced in partnership between Algérie Telecom and the Canadian firm Galawia Telecom.
Its exploitation is now well underway. Galaxia Telecom is headed by Doctor A. Hoummady who has accumulated over 30 years of experience in innovation and research in the fields of telecommunications and nanotechnologies.
Behind all this, we find Dassault system, Wavesat and Sanmina Sci.
The latter are all leaders on the world market in their respective sectors of activity.
Galaxia Telecom is a Canadian company specialized in the deployment of the wireless pass band and most especially in the Wimax network which is regarded as an international standard for short-wave access.
ATHIR is now operational. It has already set up 4 basic stations allowing it to cover the eastern part of the capital Algiers .
According to an Algérie Telecom spokesman, there is every likelihood that Algiers will be totally covered by the ATHIR Telecom network before the kick-off of the next summer season.
