Sheikh Qaradawi, President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, has urged the Arab countries to recognize the Transitional Council in Libya and provide every support to the reedom fighters against Gueddafi.

Leading the Friday prayer in Doha, Qaradawi called on the Gulf countries to go beyond humanitarian aid they provide to the Libyan people. All Arab countries must provide every support to the Libyans including weapons to topple the tyrant in Tripoli, he said.

The prominent Muslim Scholar praised actions taken by European governments namely France as President Nicholas Sarkozy received representatives of the freedom fighters and recognized the Transitional Council.

Qaradawi also called for vigilance in Egypt as the successful revolution in the country is “targeted by the agents of the regime of toppled Husni Mubarek”.  He warned against dissention and conspiracy that would affect the achievements of revolution, he said.
