Doctor Nabelsi to Echorouk: “Muslims can not convince the West if they remain ignorant”

Islamic preacher Doctor Mohamed Rateb Nabelsi said Muslims have a big challenge as they must cope with underdevelopment by recognising their weakness and dealing with it in order to keep abreast with the fast-evolving world environment.

• “We can not convince the others if we remain weak. Allah linked in the Quran between religion, knowledge and work,” doctor Nabelsi said on a visit to Echorouk’s head office in upper Algiers on Wednesday.
• The newspaper honoured the preacher by offering him a traditional dress as he represents an authentic symbol of the deep relations between Algeria and his country Syria.
• The West uses the “soft power” to poison our Muslim communities, he asserted.
• Doctor Mohamed Rateb Nabelsi urged all the actors of the Muslim communities to vigilant of the dangerous weapon called the ‘soft power’.
• “It is used by the enemies of Islam to disperse the Muslim society by spreading immoral ideas through the media,” he said.
• “There are 23 million pornographic websites and more than 400 TV channels like them.”, he indicated.
• “Muslim governments must provide their people with decent housing and regular jobs to help them get married,” he added.
• “Now, I am a true Algerian”
• Doctor Nabelsi expressed his delight when he received Echorouk’s gift, ” a bournous”, saying he is now a “true Algerian.”, as he put it.
• He said he wished the best for the newspaper “Echorouk” and hopes to visit Algeria on other occasions.
• He prayed Allah, God Almighty to protect the Algerian nation in view of its precious place among all the Arabs and Muslims.
